Workers, family members, children, retirees, suppliers, collaborators, neighbors, curious, friends and acquaintances, all were welcomed this Saturday, October 5th to the Open Day 2024 of Amurrio Ferrocarril y Equipos.
Although prior registration was not a requirement, almost 500 people had signed up in advance to learn more about a company that this year celebrates its first hundred years in the town from which it takes its name, and to which it moved in 1924.
Families, children and photographs
The day’s start time was scheduled for 11 a.m., at which time the first families began to arrive, the children were delighted to go to the play tent set up at the entrance, and the families began to have their photographs taken at the photocall set up in the interior parking lot.
Guided tour
After the souvenir photo, the families began to follow the route marked with fences and security tapes through the interior of the factory. In each pavilion or point of interest, the people in charge of each section explained to the visitors what the work done there consists of and how it contributes to the quality of the finished product.
It is worth noting the attention with which young and old alike listened to the explanations and, above all, the respect shown by all for safety regulations.
End of the tour and buffet
At the end of the tour through all the pavilions – Foundry. Machining, Welding, Assembly, Models – visitors arrived at the Quality Pavilion, where an elegant (and plentiful) buffet with snacks, sandwiches, tapas and drinks for adults and children awaited them.
At about two o’clock in the afternoon, the visitors gradually left for home, happy and satisfied.
