Among the works contracted by ADIF to Amurrio for the renovation of the Recoletos Tunnel track equipment, the double junction crossing on concrete slab that has recently been installed at Atocha Station stands out.
The dimensions of the largest non-detachable piece of this turnout, no less than 27 meters, have added a plus of spectacularity and complexity to the transport and assembly operations. A team of specialists has travelled from Amurrio to the works to make possible a fast and efficient assembly, as required by a work of these characteristics.
